Is your church, service club, retirement community, or business wanting to go to a festival, event, concert, national park, museum, sports event, etc. but has too many interested persons to drive, not enough to charter a bus? This is the idea that brought this web site into existence.

    Wanting to attend various concerts and festivals in Oregon throughout the summer myself, and in talking with friends & associates and finding the same interests along with many of the same concerns (cost of gasoline, parking fees, driving times etc.) I came up with this solution.

    As a professional School Bus Driver myself in Grants Pass, Oregon, I have the ability to lease school busses while using this web site to assemble various groups with the interest of going to the same event on the same day.

    The idea is to fill the bus and make the trip affordable for everyone who wishes to go. If you have a group large enough to fill a bus by itself, you are much better off leasing directly from a local bus company, (we'll be more than happy to recommend one) if not, send us the details of a trip you wish to take, and we'll do our best to fill the bus with other groups having the same interests.

• We find out when and where you want to go. Event must be open to the public or large enough that other eligible groups may attend allowing us to fill the bus.

• We find out the type of bus required for the trip. As our name implies, we prefer using school busses since cost savings is our goal, however we do have handicap, and tour type coaches available, both of which however add considerably to the cost.

• We get a price quote from our school bus leasing company.  School Bus Trips^® does not own or maintain the busses we use for our trips. We use actual "In Service" School Busses from the most reputable contract bus services in the industry giving you the same security and reliability our children get in home to school transportation.

• We give you a per person cost estimate. You may find that it is affordable to do the trip with only your group. If not, we'll put the proposed trip on our message board, contact others we feel may also be interested in the trip and attempt to fill the bus making it affordable to all.

• We use bus drivers with your same interests to drive the trip. As School Bus Trips^® is now the actual bus company customer, and we know their drivers, (we use only Oregon State Certified School Bus Drivers) we can get drivers with a genuine interest in your event which makes the trip and event more pleasurable for everyone involved.

• School Bus Trips^® Will also be posting trips, concerts, festivals, etc. of interest to the Bus Drivers we use to see if there in an interest in the community to attend. If so the trip will happen, if not, not.

• Retainers for trips and refunds. No retainers will be taken for trips until we confirm a solid interest in the trip and enough attendees to cover the cost of the bus rental. Once the trip is confirmed as going, we will accept retainers (actual cost of trip per person) and this will not be returned unless the trip cancels. Full details will be worked out over the next few months as we don't expect this service to go active until Spring 2010.
